QuayQuip T-Head Bollards at MICT, Manila

QuayQuip T-Head (Tee) Bollards at ICTSI's MICT Berth 6, Manila, PhilipinesThe Manila International Container Terminal (MICT) has been equipped with QuayQuip T-head bollards as part of the Berth 6 expansion programme.

ICTSI’s flagship port in the Philippines has more than trebled in capacity since its acquisition in 1988. Over the last ten years it has taken on bulk and other non-containerised cargoes in addition to an annual container throughput of around 2 million TEU. The Berth 6 project adds 300m of quay and increases the port’s annual capacity by almost half a million TEU.

Project consultants Aecom selected QuayQuip ‘T-head’ bollards of 100 tonne capacity, made from cast steel and finished in high-visibility yellow paint. 16 sets were installed on the quayside and dolphins, and another two were ordered as spares.
